Day 1 Panel Presentation

The SUNY Completion Agenda has set a goal of increasing the number of graduates annually from SUNY institutions from 93,000 to 150,000 by 2025.  Two key strategies for accomplishing that goal are increasing the number of new students coming to our institutions, primarily in online programs, and improving the completion rates of students currently enrolled at in SUNY programs.

In the past year, SUNY has launched three initiatives that will have significant implications for the Completion Agenda and Open SUNY in support of those strategies.  They are:

  1. Recruitment for Online Programs
  2. Expansion of Early Alert Systems
  3. Revision to the SUNY Cross-Registration Policy

All three initiatives are being implemented with a system level strategy and with supports being provided to facilitate successful campus implementations.  Each initiative also has implications for campus workflow and campus technology infrastructure.

During this session, panel members will share information on the goal of each initiative, the status to date, and considerations for campus level discussions.  We will also address questions from audience and welcome your active participate in a discussion about how these initiatives may be playing out on your campus.
